The Ritz has reportedly fired a security guard over allegations that they used CCTV to film guests having sex in a lift and close-up shots of women. The world-famous hotel, which overlooks London's Green Park, fired the member of staff after a probe into the footage, which is thought to have included an elderly couple in the throes of passion in a lift. One clip, made on a mobile phone, reportedly showed an older gentleman wearing a suit in a tryst with a female in the lift as they went to the top floor of the building. The footage also included an A-list celebrity, who was allegedly recorded from the hotel's security systems without permission, in a covert attempt to a get 'selfie'. Among the videos were also zoomed-in shots of female guests' bodies. They added: 'To zoom in on women's bodies while they are paying thousands of pounds a night to feel safe is truly outrageous.' A security employee was fired following an investigation by The Ritz, which told the police about the incident, it was reported.
